Relating to the motion in support of inclusive vocabulary that was passed 2020-11-10, here is a list of proposed replacement terms:

  * master/slave -> primary/replica or primary/secondary
  * blacklist/whitelist -> blocklist/allowlist'master' branch -> 'default' or 'main' git branches
  * 'black-hat' and 'white-hat' hackers -> 'red team' and 'blue team'
  * You guys/ladies & gentlemen -> folks, friends, colleagues, people etc.
  * _man -> firefighter, police officer, chairperson, etc
  * man-made -> artificial
  * man-hours -> person-hours, working hours, etc.
