Guest Wifi Access

Faculty and staff (not students) have the ability to authorize guest access to the uog-guest wifi network. The user may be able to connect with “eduroam”, if that fails, these instructions still apply.

DO NOT USE THE “Guest Wireless Access Form” available CCS's website, the form will submit, but CCS will contact indicating that the form is no longer in service. Have use the visitor fill out self registration process: - Have the visitor connects to the “uog-guest” wifi network on their device - Once connected, they OS should raise a welcome prompt, the visitor must click on the “Register” link at the top of the page (they will need to scroll up) - A page called “Guest Registration” should appear, the visitor must fill out the form on the page. For the “Sponson Email”, visually verify that the visitor has correctly filled out your email address (not mis-typed @uoguelph.ca, etc). You must receive the email from the form to authorize access. If you are not a Staff or Faculty member, you won't be able to authorize access. - Check *your* uoguelph email for the Subject: U of G Guest Access Registration request from ..** and click the link: https://nac-em.net.uoguelph.ca/sponsor/main

  1. In the “Guest Management” page, click the vistor's name then scroll down and click the green “approve” button on the bottom of the page. The user's internet access should work within a few moments.
  2. If the user has additional devices to connect, they can connect the device to “uog-guest”, but instead click the link at the bottom of the “Register” form for additional devices.
