SoCS Nextcloud Dropbox
The School Computer Science Offers an online solution for file storage.
Web Browser Access
The SoCS Nextcloud Dropbox is available through a web browser at https://cloud.socs.uoguelph.ca.
Desktop Application
An application is also available for both Desktop and Mobile clients. This application will allow you to view your files through your regular filesystem. Downloads are available here. The Nextcloud application is also installed on the iMacs in THRN2420.
1. Start the Nextcloud Program, and click “Log In”.
2. Enter the server address “https://cloud.socs.uoguelph.ca”.
3. Click “Trust this certificate anyway” and hit “OK”.
4. Click “Login”.
5. Enter your Central Login ID and Password, and hit “Login”.
6. Click “Grant Access”.
7. Change any options as desired. Otherwise, click “Connect” to accept the defaults.
8. Nextcloud is now connected. The folder will appear in your Windows Explorer, or Finder on Mac. You can also access the files through the Terminal at “Local Folder” location specified in Step 7. By default this is /Users/<Username>/Nextcloud.
