These instructions apply to the two large Toshiba printers located in J. D. Maclachlan and Mackinnon.

All Platforms
  1. Browse to http://business.toshiba.com/usa/support/index.jsp#msds, search for “4505ac”
  2. Under “e-Bridge Current Drivers” download the driver driver for your OS, if you want to print double sided, choose the duplex driver.
  3. Install the driver
OSX
  1. Go to the add new printer interface and add a new printer by IP (domain), enter photocopier.socs.uoguelph.ca (J.D. Mac) or staffcopier.socs.uoguelph.ca (Mack), choose the HP Jetdirect - Socket protocol
  2. For OS X, choose the settings shown in the attached screen shot. For Windows, check the 4505' printer options in Control Panel after the printer is added, Windows 10 seems to default to the bypass tray instead of tray 1.

  2. Select “The printer I want wasn't listed”
  3. Select “Add a printer using a TCP/IP address or hostname” , then select “Next“
  4. Select “TCP/IP Device” in the “Device type” list
  5. Type “photocopier.socs.uoguelph.ca” or “staffcopier.socs.uoguelph.ca” as the hostname and hit next
  6. If you installed the drivers found above, Windows should automatically choose the correct drivers.
